The Cape Farmhouse Restaurant

Situated in a sheltered valley and surrounded by old oak trees, the 250-year-old farmhouse offers relaxing al fresco dining - or if the weather is unpleasant, indoors in the historic old farm building.

Our lunchtime menu is Africa-inspired and redolent of the tastes, spices and herbs of Morocco through to the Cape itself. Breakfasts are farm-style, with home-made bread and real free-range eggs. As much of our produce as possible is gathered from our own organic vegetable gardens.

We also host Saturday concerts showcasing South African musicians These are outdoor events with food from the fire and a cash bar. We are available for weddings and functions (daytime or evenings) as well.

We are open seven days a week from 9.30 till 5pm and welcome tourists and locals alike. There is plenty of safe space for kids to play!

Tour guides

We welcome tour guides with groups of all sizes. All tour guides get a complimentary meal courtesy of the Cape Farmhouse Restaurant. Please wear your badge so our waitresses can recognize you and bill accordingly.  Please call us should you require further details or assistance. Please phone ahead as sometimes we have private functions. We welcome any suggestions or ideas that would make your tour easier and more enjoyable. We are happy to accomadoate a menu to fit your budget and tastes!
